Student Safeguarding

Our teaching staff are fully up to date with DfE statutory guidance – Keeping Children Safe in Education – as well as the practicalities of child protection in schools.

All school staff at Prospero understand that their primary responsibility is to protect children and young people in their schools. Before sending candidates to schools, we conduct rigorous background checks and safeguarding training.

Candidate Interviews

We interview candidates face-to-face. During the interview each candidate will present the following:

  • Teaching/Childcare qualification
  • Passport or photo ID
  • Visa Details (where applicable)
  • Two proofs of current address
  • An original Enhanced Disclosure from the DBS
  • International Police Check (if applicable)

Our rigorous background and ID checks ensure that all of our teachers and support staff are fully cleared to work in schools. Our online course An Introduction to Safeguarding means that all our staff are up to speed with the latest policy updates and understand the importance of their duty of care whether they are applying for a permanent role or undertaking day-to-day supply teaching.
