Experienced Teaching Assistant – Year 4 Class
Location: Bexley
Start Date: 22nd April 2025
Duration: Summer Term (with potential to go permanent)
Teaching are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a warm and supportive school in Bexley. The successful candidate will be working with a wonderful Year 4 class, providing support both in small groups and with tailored interventions in the afternoon.
About the Role:
· Morning: Working with small groups of Year 4 pupils to support learning in the classroom.
· Afternoon: Leading interventions with students to improve their learning outcomes, using strategies like Jump Ahead, Lego Therapy, Zones of Regulation, and other personalised learning programs.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide individual and group support to Year 4 students.
· Deliver effective interventions to support students’ emotional and academic development.
· Monitor student progress and work closely with the class teacher to tailor interventions.
· Support students with additional needs, using creative and evidence-based methods to encourage engagement and development.
The Ideal Candidate:
· Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, especially with Year 4 students.
· Knowledge and experience of delivering interventions such as Jump Ahead, Lego Therapy, Zones of Regulation, or similar.
· A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting students’ learning and emotional well-being.
· The ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff.
· A passion for helping students reach their full potential and a desire to make a real difference in their educational journey.
