About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities) Teacher for a well-established Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Redbridge. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and caring team where you will be making a real difference in the lives of students with complex needs.

As a PMLD Teacher, you will work with a team of skilled professionals to deliver tailored education programs to students with profound and multiple learning disabilities. You will create a stimulating, safe, and inclusive learning environment that encourages growth, independence, and life skills for all pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality teaching to students with PMLD, following individualized learning plans.
Plan and implement engaging, creative lessons tailored to the unique needs and abilities of each pupil.
Support the development of communication skills, physical abilities, and social interaction.
Collaborate with the wider SEN team, including teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff, to ensure a holistic approach to care and education.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and the school leadership team.
Foster a nurturing and safe classroom environment that promotes emotional well-being.
Promote inclusion and support the development of life skills to prepare students for independent living.
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (SEN qualification desirable but not essential).
Experience teaching students with PMLD or other complex special educational needs.
Strong understanding of the needs of students with complex disabilities, including communication, physical, and sensory challenges.
Passionate about SEN education and committed to enhancing the lives of students with additional needs.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team and maintain high professional standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to tailor lesson plans to individual learning needs.
