About the Role:
We are excited to be working with a dynamic secondary school in East London, looking to appoint a passionate and experienced Music Teacher for a full-time role starting in January 2025. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality music education and fostering a creative and supportive environment for students to thrive.

As a Music Teacher, you will teach a range of music courses across key stages, helping students develop their musical skills, creativity, and appreciation for different genres and instruments. You will have the opportunity to inspire and motivate students, support their personal and academic growth, and contribute to the school’s extracurricular music activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and effective lessons across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.
Plan, prepare, and assess music lessons in line with the national curriculum and school policies.
Foster a love for music in students, encouraging participation in school performances and events.
Maintain high standards of classroom management and student behavior.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the music departments offerings and extracurricular opportunities.
Contribute to the development of the school’s music program and resources.
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A degree in Music or a related subject.
Proven experience teaching Music at the secondary level (KS3-KS5).
A passion for music education and the ability to inspire students.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
A commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
Desirable:

Experience with music technology and digital music production.
Knowledge of GCSE and A-Level Music qualifications.
Ability to offer extracurricular musical activities, such as school bands, choirs, or performances.
