KS3/4 Music Specialist – ASAP start

Prospero Teaching is looking for a Music teacher for an Ofsted Outstanding school in Bolton. You will be responsible for teaching Music, both to KS3 and KS4. This timetable would be suitable for an ECT looking for support with their Induction terms, or a more experienced colleague looking for a long term supply booking. There are some “team-taught” KS3 Drama lessons on this timetable – but you are working with a fabulous deparment and all schemes of work are plentiful and well resourced.

The school is going from strength to strength and providing CPD throughout the year. Our school is easily accessible by road (M60, M61, A666), so this position is ideal for colleagues based in Greater Manchester, Lancashire or Merseyside. Our school is proud of the consistent exam results it produces year on year, and, the Performing Arts team are extremely proud of their now legendary summer and Christmas pantomines which they produce!

There are no behaviour issues in this school and attitudes to learning are extremely positive. You will have a Year 10 form until July 2025 and then stay with them in September 2025.

The position is open to NQT’s/ECT’s and more experienced colleagues. You will be paid to scale from day one of this assignment and we are available to discuss this role with teaching professionals as soon as possible.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

Music or Performance-based Graduate, with a 2:2 or higher
UK Qualified Teacher Status is essential for this role
Previous experience working in a UK school
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

– Hold Right to Work in the UK
– Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
– Provide two professional child related references
