JOB TITLE – Graduate Teaching Assistant

ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Prospero Teaching are looking for a Teaching Assistant for an Ofsted “Outstanding” Secondary school in Harlow.

The school is a large mainstream Secondary School with a supportive Senior Leadership Team. This graduate Teaching Assistant position will involve working with students across KS3 and KS4 in the classroom as well as providing 1:1 support and working in small groups.

The position is open to both recent graduates looking to gain classroom experience before teacher training and experienced Teaching Assistants.

CONTRACT DETAILS

• Location – Harlow
• Position – Teaching Assistant
• Type of work – Teaching Assistant
• Contract or position start date – ASAP
• Duration / Likely Duration – until July 2023 with the potential for extension
• Contract or position end date (if applicable) – July 2023 with the potential for extension
• Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) – Temporary
• Full time/part time – Full time
• Minimum rate of pay – Minimum rate £75 per day
• Hours – 8:30 am – 4pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree 2:1 or higher preferred but not essential
• Experience working with children is advantageous
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional references covering the last 2 years
