GCSE Tutor – Islington

The Opportunity

The Children’s Education Services at Prospero Teaching are in need of Maths, Science and English tutors to support Year 11 students ahead of their upcoming GCSE’s in the summer. Sessions will take place during the school day and after school during booster sessions. The students are currently working below age expected attainment levels and require tuition to boost their exam grades.

The majority of support is needed in Maths and Science, as this is the area of learning that the students require the most support. The opportunity for tuition will take place both in group sessions as well as on a 1:1 basis at a school and the sessions will run until the students’ last exams.

If you can support in any of the core subjects, specifically Maths and Science, or all of the subjects at KS4 level, please get in touch.

• Location – Islington
• Position – GCSE Maths & Science
• Type of work – Contract
• Start date – ASAP
• Duration – Until the student’s exams
• Minimum rate of pay – from £25 per hour
• Hours – Working hours can differentiate, depending on the young person’s timetable

Experience, Training and Qualifications:

• QTS or equivalent
• Experience teaching the above subjects
• Possess UK classroom teaching experience
• Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
• Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
