GCSE Tutor

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic GCSE Tutor to provide tailored support to students in core subjects, ensuring they are well-prepared for their exams and confident in their studies. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the GCSE curriculum and a passion for helping students achieve their academic goals.

Position: 1:1 Tutor
Location: Greenwich
Job Type: Temporary, Contract
Pay: Starting from £25 per hour
Hours: Flexible (Morning, Afternoon, or Evening Sessions)

Key Responsibilities:

• Subject Expertise: Deliver focused tuition in key GCSE subjects such as Mathematics, English, and Science, reinforcing core concepts and addressing areas of difficulty.
• Individualized Learning Plans: Develop and adapt lesson plans based on each student’s strengths and areas for improvement, supporting their unique learning needs.
• Exam Preparation: Provide guidance on exam techniques, revision strategies, and time management to maximize students’ performance.
• Progress Assessment: Regularly assess and track student progress, offering constructive feedback to improve understanding and boost confidence.
• Support & Communication: Work closely with students, parents, and, where applicable, school teachers to align tutoring with school curriculum and objectives.

Requirements:

• Proven experience tutoring GCSE students in core subjects.
• Strong understanding of the GCSE curriculum and exam requirements.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Have or be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check

Desirable Qualifications:

• A teaching qualification such as PGCE or QTS.
• Experience working with students who have additional learning needs (SEN) is a plus.
