GCSE Tutor

Location: Harrow, North West London
Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour
Job Type: Temporary | Part-Time | Flexible Hours

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned tuition in GCSE Maths and/or English.
• Identify individual learning needs and create tailored lesson plans to close gaps and prepare students for exams.
• Offer consistent support, encouragement, and structured guidance to improve both confidence and academic results.
• Adjust teaching methods for students who may have SEN needs, ensuring inclusive, accessible learning.
• Track and report progress, maintaining communication with parents/carers where needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year experience teaching or tutoring GCSE-level Maths and English.
• Right to work in the UK
• Must have, or be willing to undertake, an Enhanced DBS check.

Desired:

• PGCE in Secondary Education and/or Qualified Teacher Status.
• Experience working with students with SEN.
