Job Title: EHCP Writer
Location: Southwark, London
Contract Type: Temporary, Flexible, Full-Time/Part-Time
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: Competitive, based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write comprehensive, legally compliant EHCP reports based on assessments and multi-agency input.
  • Liaise with schools, local authorities, health care professionals, and families to gather relevant information.
  • Ensure all EHCPs are accurate, detailed, and completed within statutory deadlines.
  • Interpret specialist reports, educational data, and professional recommendations to inform EHCP content.
  • Maintain a high standard of written communication, ensuring plans are accessible and clearly structured.

Requirements:

  • Experience in EHCP writing or working within an SEND team.
  • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, including the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Excellent report-writing and organisational skills, with the ability to meet statutory deadlines.
  • Experience working within local authorities, educational settings, or health care environments.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Must have, or be willing to undertake, an Enhanced DBS check.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Background in SEND education, speech and language therapy, educational psychology, or social work is highly desirable.
  • Experience in case management, assessments, or legal frameworks related to SEND.
