Prospero Teaching, one of the fastest growing agencies in the UK, is looking for a dedicated, reliable, and enthusiastic Secondary School Drama Teacher to join a school in the Liverpool area. Play a vital role in inspiring students and nurturing their creative talents!

Secondary Drama Teacher

  • Location: Liverpool, L25
  • Type of Work: Long Term
  • Start Date: June 2025
  • Contract Type: Temporary
  • Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
  • Rate of Pay: Paid to scale
  • Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm

Responsibilities:

  • Lesson Planning and Instruction: Designing engaging drama lessons, utilising a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Creating and grading assessments to evaluate student progress, including performances, written assignments, and class participation.
  • Classroom Management: Maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment, addressing behavioural issues, and fostering a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Student Support: Providing additional help to students who are struggling with the material and offering guidance and encouragement to those with a keen interest in drama.
  • Inspiring Creativity: Encouraging students to express themselves creatively and explore their talents in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Experience, Training, and Qualifications:

  • Teaching Qualification: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a UK secondary school is essential.
  • Safeguarding Training: Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable, but not essential as training is provided).

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Enhanced Child Barred List DBS Certificate: Must be registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Professional References: Provide two professional references.
