EOTAS Tutor – Sheffield

We are specialists in providing qualified and experienced tutors to work with children from the ages of 4-18 for a range of different tutoring programmes. We provide support to students with EHCP plans that require education that takes place outside of school or does not follow the standardised curriculum.

We are looking to appoint new tutors to our growing team of specialists across the South Yorkshire region.

VACANCY DETAILS:

• Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
• Position: Tutor with EHCP students (Not in school)
• Where: Face-to-face sessions
• Contract: Long-term
• Hours: 20-30 hours per week
• Start Date: ASAP
• Pay Rate: £25 – 30 per hour

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• We provide support to students of all ages from 4-18 years old
• We offer tailored packages to work around individuals needs
• Our team of teachers and tutors will build a meaningful relationship with the young person. They’ll support the transition into an appropriate education setting whilst delivering a bespoke curriculum to their students.

• The subjects delivered can be varied.
• Once you have been assigned to work with a student, you will receive the student’s academic information and their EHCP (if relevant)
• Tutors will work mainly 1:1 with the students but there are some group tuition sessions available
• Knowledge of the student’s ability and targets for education will be provided, but you will be expected to gather your own resources and deliver the curriculum you deem fit based upon your assessment on the student’s ability
• You can pick up anywhere from 2-30+ hours per week depending on your availability. Tutoring can be completely flexible based around your current availability.

TUTOR REQUIREMENTS

To become a tutor with us at Prospero Teaching, you will need to have the following things:

• An Enhanced Child DBS (or be willing to apply for a new one)
• Safeguarding & Prevent Training Certificate
• At least 6 months of UK teaching experience in your subject specialism
• Experience working with students with SEND/SEMH
