Caretaker – South Manchester

Prospero Teaching are looking for a caretaker for a school in South Manchester to 11:30 to 19:00, starting ASAP and running to Christmas. The role will include general cleaning duties and maintenance, as well assisting/escorting guests around the premises – experience working in a school as a caretaker is essential.

This ‘outstanding’ school has high expectations of the pupils which the students take in their stride everyday by having a positive approach to learning. Independence is an important life skill for all pupils at this school. Pupils are keen to take on responsibility. This includes applying to be leaders in a wide range of academic subjects, as well as in wider skills such as promoting the well-being of others. Caretaker, Training and Qualifications

• It is essential that you have caretaker experience in a school.
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training is imperative; you can undertake a free course with Prospero Teaching if you have not completed a Safeguarding course in the last 12 months.
• Strong behaviour management skills are a must.
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training)
• Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, again, we can provide the training)
• Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (desirable, however, training can be provided).

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK

Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of £45.80.

Provide a minimum of two professional references.
