Business Support Officer – Burnley
We are working with a secondary school in Stockport who is looking to recruit a Business Support Officer to join their team in January. The role will be full time on an ongoing supply basis. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and well-motivated. The role needs someone who can be reactive to situations and will require someone who is a quick thinker and is able to multitask without any stress,
You will be the first point of contact for visitors and parents. You will also coordinate front desk duties, including distributing correspondence and dealing with enquiries and redirecting phone calls.
It is preferred that you have experience working in a school office and have experience using SIMS however, this is not essential as training can be provided.
Core Responsibilities

Oversee the signing in/out of all visitors using the electronic signing in system and issuing ID badges maintaining security and safeguarding of students and staff
Oversee the signing in/out of students throughout the course of the day and coding them on SIMS and monitor lates.
Managing the switchboard and answerphone, directing and screening calls and emailing messages to relevant members of staff
Effectively and efficiently responding to queries from parents, schools and external agencies
Sign for deliveries and ensure they are dealt with efficiently by the site team
Processing and sorting the incoming and outgoing mail and in charge of managing the franking machine system and order of supplies and regular maintenance
Respond to all student requests at Reception
Provide administrative across the school where required
CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS
Location Stockport
Position – Business Support Officer
Type of work – School Admin including using SIMs and Parent Pay/mail
Start date – January
Temporary – Part time
Minimum rate of pay – £90 per day
Hours – Variable, 20 hours per week

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
