Art Teacher

Are you a passionate and dedicated Art Teacher looking for your next adventure? Join one of the fastest-growing agencies in the UK, Prospero Teaching, and make a difference in the lives of secondary school students in Liverpool.

Position Details:

  • Location: Liverpool, L12
  • Role: Art Teacher
  • Type: Long Term
  • Start Date: As soon as possible
  • Contract Type: Temporary
  • Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
  • Hours: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
  • Pay: Competitive, paid to scale

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to students’ age, skill level, and interests.
  • Encourage students to think critically and express themselves through art.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and individuality.
  • Provide constructive feedback on students’ work and guide their growth.
  • Keep the classroom organised and ensure tools are used safely.
  • Work with colleagues across disciplines to integrate art into broader school projects.
  • Communicate with parents to share student progress and achievements.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Someone with boundless energy, creativity, and a knack for engaging young minds.
  • A strong background in art and/or art education.
  • The ability to create a nurturing, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment.
  • Passion for innovation and incorporating modern art trends.

Experience, Training, and Qualifications:

  • Teaching qualification with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Previous experience in a UK school
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but not essential as some training will be provided)

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Enhanced Child Barred List DBS certificate registered with the online update service (or willingness to process a new application)
  • Two professional references
