1:1 SEN Tutor – Southampton

Prospero Teaching are looking for a 1:1 SEN Tutor in Southampton.
Working 1:1 with a Year 6 pupil with autism and and global developmental delay.

As a tutor/mentor you would be required to offer support to the student from a couple of hours to multiple sessions a week and be required to complete weekly feedback forms on the students’ progress, achievements, behaviour, and self-esteem/confidence.

We are looking for a dedicated tutor to work 1-2-1 with CLA (Children looked after) within a children’s home.

Driving licence is essential as you may need to drive between locations.

• Subject – Core Subjects / Functional skills / life skills
• Start date – ASAP
• Duration / Likely Duration – Ongoing
• End date (if applicable) –
• Full time/part-time – Part-time
• The minimum rate of pay – Minimum rate £25 per hour
• Hours – flexible

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYTS or equivalent
• Previous experience working in a UK school
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
