SEN Teacher – KS3/5 – Wandsworth – November 2020

Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for a Key Stage 3/5 SEN Teacher in the South West London area who are able to assist students across all areas. The school is Ofsted ‘OUTSTANDING’ and has a primary focus on understanding each individual and supporting them through holistic, highly specialist programmes and approaches.

Job Title: SEND Teacher in South West London (KS3/KS5)

Salary: £160 – £200 per day

Location: South West London

Contract Type: Long Term – Perm

Start Date: November 2nd 2020

Duration: Monday – Friday (Full-Time)

The successful teacher will have:

· Experience in ASD (TEACHH)

· Experience of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)

· Experience in oversight of medical needs

· Ability to advise on communication strategies

The role will consist of:

· Teaching to a class of 7 students

· Creating structures, routines and visual timetables

· SLD / semi-formal curriculum

· Working closely with students, their parents/careers and other members of staff to make sure that the students are happy and learning well

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYTS or equivalent

• Previous experience working in a UK school

• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK

• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application

• Provide two professional child related references
