Prospero Teaching are looking for an enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic ‘Good’ Ofsted rated SEN School based near to Bournemouth, Dorset supporting pupils with SEMH. This is a great opportunity, to help enrich and develop vulnerable young people’s lives.

You will be working with an excellent team and joining a fantastic provision where you can make a difference, playing a key role in the development of students aged 4-11

The successful candidate will be working with pupils who have been excluded from mainstream education and with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs) The school offers a great range of outdoor activities including; multi-sports watersports and orienteering whilst bosting a unique and vocational based curriculum

Contract Details for Teaching Assistant:

• Location – Bournemouth, Dorset
• Position – Primary Teaching Assistant
• Type of work – Teaching Assistant, 1:1 / Small-Group Support
• Start date – ASAP (Jan 2023)
• Contract type – Temp/Perm
• Full time/part time – Full-Time
• Minimum rate of pay – £70.59 per day

Experience, Training and Qualifications needed for Teaching Assistant role:

• Previous Teaching experience is required, ideally within the SEN Sector, although this is not essential providing you have the right attitude and desire.
• Previous experience working with challenging behaviour would be advantageous
• A passion for working with children with SEMH.
• Pro Active in the classroom and a willingness to join in with class activities.
• You should have lots of energy and enthusiasm with a positive attitude towards working with SEN students.
• Level 3 Qualifications

To be eligible you must:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
