Prospero Teaching are looking for a Physics Teacher for an April 2019 start. This is to work in a mainstream secondary school in the Cambridge area.

About the school and contract:

  • We are looking for a Physics Teacher to start on 23rd April 2019 in a medium sized mainstream secondary school in the Cambridge area.
  • You will be focusing on teaching KS3 and KS4 students.
  • The school also has a sixth form so you may have the potential to teach KS5 students.
  • You will have LSAs in the classroom to support you.
  • There may also be some 1:1 teaching involved.
  • The Science department is experienced and supportive, with specialists in Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
  • Part time (3 days a week) teaching position including planning and marking.
  • The school are initially looking for cover for 1 term but there is a possibility of it being extended.

About the successful Physics Teacher:

  • Previous experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Physics is preferred.
  • You should ideally hold a teaching qualification (QTS or QTLS preferred).
  • Experience teaching in the UK is desirable.
  • You will have excellent classroom and behaviour management.
  • You will be pro active and innovative with the ability to engage students in different ways.
