KS2 SEN TEACHER – ASAP START – HENDON, NW LONDON


An inclusive and very supportive SEN school in the Heart of Brent are seeking to appoint a KS2 SEN teacher for an immediate start to join their team to join their fabulous team. The position has arisen due to one of the schools’ long-term teachers relocating. This role will last for the duration of the academic year and WILL go permanent at the end of your contract.


  • Resourceful & supportive state of the art school
  • KS2 SEN Teacher – currently performing at P-levels
  • Very small class sizes – maximum 6 students in each class with several TAs
  • ASAP START
  • Longterm position – full time 5 days a week
  • Minimum pay £150 – £250 per day

This oversubscribed SEN school has almost 300 students with very demanding learning difficulties, the majority of which can be nonverbal and have autism. The school caters to pupils aged 3-19 who have a range of needs including severe learning difficulties and profound and multiple learning difficulties.

Long and medium term plans are in place for the class as the teacher taught them all last year as well; you will however be taking on the full responsibilities of a permanent member of staff and will be expected to undertake short term planning, provide assessments, liaise with parents, perform spot checks and monitor progress


The assistant Headteacher is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teacher to work in an SLD class of 6 pupils who are in KS2. The class is supported by 4 experienced LSAs.

The ideal KS2 SEN Teacher will have experience working with children with more complex special needs either in a special school or in a mainstream setting. The school is open to consider mainstream teachers who wish to broaden their horizons.


TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
  • UK trained and overseas trained teachers with UK teaching experience and QTS or the equivalent are encouraged to apply.
