Prospero Teaching is looking for a Departmental Head of English for an Ofsted “Outstanding” Secondary school in Camden, North London
A successful and oversubscribed multicultural comprehensive school situated in a leafy part of Camden. To start in September 2020, the school are looking for a very capable and confident Head of English.
The school is a medium/large School with a supportive and constantly developing English department. The School has roughly 1346 students on roll. The school is going from strength to strength and providing CPD throughout the year.
The position is open to ONLY experienced teachers. Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

About the Role – Head of English – CAMDEN
The Head of English role is a highly important position in this North London school and it carries a large amount of responsibility.
The position requires an exceptional teacher who has had a previous responsibility of a English Lead or who is a current Head of Department or a Strong English Teacher who wants to step up.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
QTS or equivalent
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references
