SEMH Teaching Assistant – Manchester – Alternative Education School

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Graduate looking to pursue a career within education!
The role would include:
-One to one support and small group support for young people with SEMH needs.
-Very challenging behaviour
The school is based in Salford and has a warm and welcoming team.
CONTRACT / POSITION DETAILS:
* Location – Salford
* Position – Teaching Assistant
* Start date – March 2021
* Duration / Likely Duration – Full academic year
* End date (if applicable) – July 2021
* Full time/part time – Full time
* The minimum rate of pay – Minimum rate of £75 per day
* Hours – 8:30 – 15:30.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
– Previous SEN experience with KS3 or KS4
– Previous experience with challenging behaviour
– Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as Safeguarding training is provided)
– Team Teach training would be highly desirable for this role
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
– Hold Right to Work in the UK
– Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
– Provide two professional references
