ABOUT THE SCHOOL:
Prospero Teaching is representing an Ofsted Good school located in Hertfordshire, Rickmansworth who is seeking a qualified teacher of Physics Teacher to join their teaching staff and successful Science department starting April 2020 on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is a successful and oversubscribed, happy, safe, multicultural comprehensive secondary school situated in a leafy part of Hertfordshire bordering London making it a great location. This co-educational comprehensive school warmly welcomed a new Headteacher in September 2020 who is bringing new ideas. This is a non-selective school however a quarter of students are selected using tests.
Deemed Good by OFSTED in its last inspection with the schools is proud of and the new Headteacher would like to progress the school into Outstanding. The Physics job starts in April 2020 and the ideal Physics teacher would be an enthusiastic, committed and creative Physics teacher within their very successful creative Science Department.
The Science department is a large, well structured supportive team made up of housed in a purpose-built, modern building boasting state of the art lab and is made up of 15 specialist teachers and 4 Science specialist technicians. Science is taught at key stage 3, 4, and 5 and the quality of teaching and learning taking place is outstanding. Key stage 4 is taught following AQA Chemistry, Biology and Physics and the same content as Combined Science with an additional module in all 3 sciences. Resources are shared within the Science department which makes it a supportive department.

Hours 8:30 am – 3:30pm, plus parents’ evenings
A LEVEL PHYSICS TEACHERS EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- QTS or equivalent
- Science related degree – Physics related degree
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (we can provide you with this training)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS A LEVEL PHYSICS TEACHING JOB THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
