Top 10 bonfire night destinations in the UK
New to the UK? Everyone seems to go crazy for fireworks on 5th November, bonfire night, but why?
Bonfire night (as the 5th November gets called by most people) in the UK is a well-renowned, historic tradition that takes place on the 5th of November every year. It commemorates the foiled Guy Fawkes plot that almost ended up in the Houses of Parliament being blown up due to Guy Fawkes’s bid to plant gunpowder beneath the famous building. Those celebrating the survival of Westminster often buy fireworks to symbolize the failed gunpowder attempt by Guy Fawkes.
Some people mark the occasion with fireworks in their own back garden but there are organised displays all over the country and Prospero Teaching is here with our handy list to some of the best the UK has to offer…
