CPD For Teachers: Differentiating for Secondary Students
“An Incredible Session”
This was my first Prospero Teaching CPD session but it certainly won’t be my last!
I highly recommend going to any of the sessions – Prospero Teaching really understands the needs of their teachers and will provide you with strategies for any aspect of your teaching practice that could do with a boost.
I am a trainee teacher and I attend regular CPD sessions – I can safely say Prospero Teaching’s Differentiation for Secondary Students was one of the best I have been involved in. I attended the session on my own and met lots of new people. The opportunity for networking enhanced my experience of the day, and there was lots of opportunity for collaborative work where I heard from other teachers about their experiences and the differentiation strategies they have built into their routines.
We covered some theory, discussed differentiation tactics and strategies with other professionals at very different stages in their careers, before finally considering how to apply everything we had learnt to a lesson we would teach the next week.
Lily, who ran the session, was fantastically engaging! We can easily use the activities she modelled during the session with our own students. By the end of the session I was absolutely buzzing to get back into my school on Monday and use the beautifully simple differentiation strategies I had developed.
